{"id":250,"date":"2024-08-27T13:29:15","date_gmt":"2024-08-27T13:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tipcontrol.com\/?page_id=250"},"modified":"2025-07-31T08:03:01","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T08:03:01","slug":"hello-firmware","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tipcontrol.com\/?page_id=250","title":{"rendered":"Hello Firmware"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect your ESP32, Raspberry or Linux device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install USB Drivers if necessary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click at the first device labeled \u201c*_designer\u201d and select the \u201cUSB\u201d driver in the driver list.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you can&#8217;t find your device e.g. COM3&#8230; try to install the serial to uart driver for your chip.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.silabs.com\/software-and-tools\/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers?tab=downloads\">Silabs CP210x driver<\/a> (M5 Stack devices)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/acebottteam.github.io\/acebott-docs-master\/getting%20started\/Arduino\/Download%20CH340%20Driver%20on%20Windows%20System.html\">CH340<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then click on the menu to the right and select \u201cErase flash\u201d. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the chip and Erase. Ensure that you have the correct USB device selected. Leave the Chip setting at \u201cAuto\u201d. Depending on your hardware, choose the baud rate setting. We recommend selecting 115200; it will work for most hardware. However, some devices can handle 2048000. This time, choose \u201cConnect.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please wait for a few seconds until the device has fully booted up. You can monitor the boot process in the log window located under the serial pane.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, click on the top-left button labeled \u201cScan\u201d or navigate to the file menu and select \u201cScan\u201d repeatedly until your device appears in the \u201cDevices\u201d list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s all. Now you are ready to use your device using a USB connection. Next step is to set up your device with wifi and drivers.
